On Saturday 26th July, athletes, spectators, and organisers came together for a day of incredible strength, determination, and community spirit at the South East’s Strongest competition, hosted by Gover Gym in Broad Oak, East Sussex.
UK Facilities Solutions was proud to sponsor this inspiring event as the official shirt sponsor, supporting competitors and helping to make the day a success.
A Day of Strength and Community
The South East’s Strongest was packed with adrenaline-fuelled challenges designed to test competitors’ power and endurance, including:
Overhead Medley: Axle lifts, logs, and kegs pressed for reps
Silver Dollar Deadlift: Ascending weight challenge with lifts over 300kg
Moving & Grip Medley: Farmers walks, yokes, and frames
Loading Races and the all-important mystery event
Athletes from novice to open categories put their training to the test, showing true grit while supporting one another at every stage. The atmosphere was electric, with spectators turning out in large numbers to cheer on competitors and enjoy the family-friendly day.
Giving Back While Celebrating Strength
Alongside the main competition, the event also raised money for the Children’s Respite Trust, with profits from the BBQ and donations on the day going to this incredible charity. Local businesses and volunteers came together to provide refreshments, live commentary, and plenty of entertainment for attendees.

The competition was fiercely contested, with athletes pushing themselves to their limits across all five events. Congratulations to everyone who took part and to the overall champions crowned as the South East’s Strongest for 2025.
